If you hire Edward to conduct your auction you can be sure of two things; the auction will achieve its full potential and your guests will enjoy the thrill and excitement of being involved in a lively and entertaining auction.

Edward is available to conduct any auction for the purpose of raising funds for charity. He is particularly experienced in hosting large, high profile fund raising events but is equally at home raising a few thousand pounds for smaller local events.

Edward is Sotheby's recommended choice of freelance auctioneer for charity events. For selected auctions Edward can work in association with Sotheby's. In these instances your auction can be promoted in the programme and on the podium with the use of the Sotheby's logo. You will also benefit from the help and support of Sotheby's special events department.

Edward's fees for charity auctions are based on four percent of the total hammer price with a minimum charge of four hundred pounds and a maximum charge of a thousand pounds. It is worth bearing in mind when considering these prices that Edward's key skill is his ability to draw out those extra bids for each and every lot; so for a lot selling for over one thousand pounds he would only have to extract one extra bid in order for his minimum fee to be paid.

Fine Art, Cars & Property

The bulk of Edward's experience is as a professional auctioneer in the world of fine art. He has conducted hundreds of auctions for Phillips, Bonham's and Sotheby's. His manner and professionalism were so appreciated at Sotheby's that he was frequently chosen to conduct high profile auctions such as the sale of the contents of Shrublands Park and property from the collection of the late Gianni Versace.

Please contact Edward Rising if you would like him to use his skills and talent to enhance your professional auction.
